Clinical Supply Operations is responsible for the supply of drug
product administered to patients in clinical studies worldwide. In
Global Product Development and Supply the team works closely with

to achieve your own career goals. Role & Responsibilities:
- The Clinical Logistics Specialis t is a role on the Clinical
Supply Chain Operations team , encompassing both inbound and
outbound T ransportation as well as Site Import Administration
.
- Coordinate both domestic and internation al, ambient and
temperature controlled shipments . Ensure that both inbound and
outbound shipments are appropriately packed and passive/active
shippers selected and preconditioned as necessary.
- Prepare accurate transportation and customs documentation by
collecti ng and compiling relevant shipment details and updating
the documentation as necessary until the time of the shipment.
Collaborate with all stakeholders i.e. Requestor, Carrier,
Receiving Site and Broker and e nsure th at documentation is shared
with all stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Verify the accuracy of the product as well as apply accurate
product and address labels . Collaborate with the freight
forwarder/carrier to track the shipment in transit and ensure the
delivery of the right product to the right location at the right
time and in the right condition . Provide periodic status updates
to all stakeholders.
- Communicate with customs brokers to ensure that accurate
information, documentation and import instructions are provided to
seamlessl y clear BMS imports in an accurate , compliant and timely
manner.
- Provide clearance infor mation to the designated brokers, FDA
and other government agencies . Relay FDA release information to
operations to ensure that inbound shipments are quarantined prior
to FDA release.
- Maintain the import log for all entries and perform audit of
entry documents . Ensure that the site import process is always
maintained in an audit ready state .
- Assist in researching and resolving logistics issues as they
arise as well as coordinate the logistics for select inbound or
drop-ship CSO/PD international shipments. Experience &
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business , Logistics or Supply Chain
Management or related field
- Specialist Level: 2-3 years experience as a Transportation/
Importation Specialist or a similar logistics role, preferably in a
bi o -pharmaceut ical environment.
- Senior Specialist Level: 3-5 years experience as a
Transportation/ Importation Specialist or a similar logistics role,
preferably in a bi o -pharmaceut ical environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Airfreight Import/Export Operations, as
well as TSA, IATA regulations.
- APICS CPIM , CSCP or other certifications preferred.
- Excellent time management skills, as well as proven ability to
