ABOUT THE ROLE

As a CBRE Instrumentation and Calibration Technician, you will perform advanced level troubleshooting and service of specialty equipment, instruments and systems specific to the pharmaceutical Research & Development industry.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Perform advanced level repair and troubleshooting beyond what is accomplished during a routine calibration or preventive maintenance.

Develop instrument procedures relating to calibration, calibration limits and interval assessment, preventive maintenance or other documentation for pharmaceutical R&D analytical services.

Record and report abnormal function of equipment, out of tolerance conditions, and initiate corrective action.

Document work performed to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Lab Practices (GLP) and other applicable Food and Drug Association (FDA) regulations.

Perform calibration and functional checks using a combination of chemical, mechanical and electronic standards.

Monitor standard viability and initiate corrective actions based on analytical evaluations.

Coordinate with outside contractors regarding repairs covered by maintenance agreements.

Test DI water system instrumentation, pH and resistivity sensors.

Overtime and emergency after hours work on analytical lab equipment and facilities related systems are required at times. Performs other duties as required.

Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.

Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.

Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.

Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.

Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

Familiarity with use of multimeters, flow, temperature, RH, pressure transmitters and controllers. O2 and LEL monitors experience preferred.

Instrumentation and calibration experience preferred. Working understanding of FDA regulations, GMP's, and GLP's preferred.

Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.

Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
