Continuous Improvement SpecialistPosition Summary: Catalent is a

Philadelphia area is Catalent's global Center of Excellence for
Clinical Supply Packaging.-- Catalent offers GMP secondary
packaging and clinical labeling services throughout our global
network. Packaging can be configured to hold a single product, or
multiple products as determined by study requirements. We offer
manual patient kit assembly along with semi-automated and automated
wallet sealing and high-speed automated carding to meet the needs
of studies of all sizes. For temperature sensitive products and
those with minimal to zero allowable time out of environment, we
can perform secondary packaging in refrigerated and frozen
packaging rooms or over dry ice depending upon your project
needs.-- Using our Clinicopia global labeling system with its
multi-lingual label phrase library we can design single panel,
booklet labels or our unique Peel-ID--- safe storage labels for
your studies. Single panel and Peel-ID--- safe storage labels can
be conveniently reviewed and approved online via our Fusion portal
before being printed and inspected at our facilities.Catalent
Pharma Solutions in Philadelphia is hiring a Continuous Improvement
Specialist. The Continuous Improvement Specialist is responsible
for helping drive continuous improvement (CI) efforts at the
Philadelphia site with the objective to drive positive
transformational change and realize financial benefits. The
incumbent in this role will directly support the multiple
cross-functional teams and guide site-wide efforts to drive
improvement to operational effectiveness.-- This role will be
actively involved in the CI support of all site business
processes.This is a full-time, salaried role. ----This is onsite.--
This position is a 1st Shift role. The core hours are Monday -
Friday, 8am-5pm.Catalent is committed to a Patient First culture

- Lead and implement Lean practices: 5S, Kanban, visual boards,
performance metrics, 8 waste reduction, process optimization,
time-motion studies, work area layout
- Lead and facilitate the development and daily use of tiered
meeting structures, visual boards, performance metrics and business
reviews
- Support the annual site Hoshin-strategic planning development,
execution and management processes
- Collaborate with site department subject matter experts and
Head of CI to identify and drive crucial efforts leading to
sustainable improvement for the site for the medium to long-term
strategy
- Prioritize and select projects that leverage LEAN six sigma
tools to drive improvements through the hierarchy of Safety,
Quality, Delivery and Cost
- Engage teams to help establish a Continuous Improvement culture
to solve problems and develop solutions which address true root
cause(s); transfer problem-solving and process improvement
knowledge and competencies through all working relationships
- Coach and mentor LEAN Six Sigma Project Leaders to complete
projects by using the DMAIC methodology
- All other duties as assignedThe Candidate:
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Engineering,
Business, Science or equivalent knowledge and experience is
required; Industrial Engineering background preferred
- Minimum one+ years of experience leading, creating and
implementing Continuous Improvement programs is required
- Minimum one+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
experience is preferred
- Must have experience with advanced problem-solving (LEAN six
sigma) and change-management methodologies consistent with
establishing a culture of continuous improvement
- Yellow Belt or LEAN Certification desired but not
mandatory
- Results oriented problem solver with a strong analytical
mindset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, Access, Word,
PowerPoint, Visio and statistical analysis software (e.g.--Minitab,
JMP, etc.)
- Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and
