Job Description:

Job Summary:This role supports the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects. The successful candidate will lead and develop team members, ensuring a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members at all times.Key Responsibilities:

  • Store Layout and Merchandising: Develop and maintain creative store layouts and product merchandising.
  • Sales and Labor Targets: Work with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Assist the Team Leader in analyzing sales, reports, and labor.
  • Budget Preparation: Assist the Team Leader with annual sales and expense projections and budget preparation.
  • Inventory Management: Assist the Team Leader with ordering and inventory management.
  • Team Development: Work with the Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues and develop team members.
  • Departmental Leadership: Function as the point person and departmental person in charge in the absence of the Team Leader.
  • Retail Execution: Set and achieve the highest standards of retail execution.
  • Team Environment: Foster and encourage a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.
  • Customer Service: Maintain awareness of customer flows and needs and direct team members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers.Requirements:
    • Knowledge of Meat Products: Extensive knowledge of meat products.
    • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to prioritize and delegate.
    • Mathematical Skills: Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
    • Product Knowledge: Thorough product knowledge.
    • Regulatory Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures.Requirements: 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
