About the RoleThe Sous Chef at Marquis Restaurant is a senior culinary leader who partners with the Executive Chef to maintain the highest standards of quality and excellence in our daily kitchen operations. This role involves overseeing the execution of menus, managing the prep kitchen, and ensuring all team members are trained and developed to meet their full potential.Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure high-performance standards are met and maintained throughout each service period.
  • Deliver a culture of exceptional hospitality to guests and team members alike.
  • Direct the team to ensure consistent execution of food and timely service flow.
  • Educate dining room staff on menu items and culinary procedures through tastings and presentations.
  • Maintain positive relationships with dining room leaders and line staff.
  • Ensure all recipes, products, and food preparations meet our high standards of quality and excellence.
  • Train new hires and ensure all team members are equipped to execute their stations effectively.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to team members, focusing on excellence and hospitality.Requirements
    • 2+ years of experience in culinary leadership and fine dining.
    • Certification in Hospitality-related field (or equivalent).
    • Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across teams.
    • Excellent food and beverage knowledge.
    • English fluency and additional languages preferred.
