Bakery Associate Team Leader Job DescriptionAt Whole Foods
Market, we're looking for a skilled and motivated Bakery Associate
Team Leader to join our team. This role is responsible for
assisting the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations,
including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising,
labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects.Key
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain Store Layout: Create and maintain a
visually appealing store layout that showcases our products and
services.
- Work with Team Leader to Achieve Sales and Labor Targets:
Collaborate with the Team Leader to set and achieve sales,
purchasing, and labor targets.
- Assist with Sales and Labor Analysis: Help the Team Leader
analyze sales, reports, and labor to make informed decisions.
- Develop Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain advanced
product knowledge to provide excellent customer service and drive
sales.
- Maintain Vendor Relationships: Build and maintain strong
relationships with vendors to ensure timely and quality
deliveries.
- Lead and Develop Team Members: Select, train, develop, mentor,
motivate, and counsel Team Members to create a high-performance
team.
- Function as Point Person in Absence of Team Leader: Take on
additional responsibilities and lead the team in the Team Leader's
absence.
- Set and Achieve Retail Execution Standards: Set and achieve the
highest standards of retail execution to drive sales and customer
satisfaction.
- Foster a Positive Team Environment: Create a positive and
inclusive team environment that promotes outstanding teamwork,
mutual respect, and exceptional morale.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Direct Team Members to
satisfy and delight customers, and respond promptly to customer
needs and questions.Requirements:
- 18+ Months Retail Team Member Experience: Possess at least 18
months of retail Team Member experience.
- 6+ Months Supervisory Experience: Have at least 6 months of
supervisory experience.Additional Requirements:
- Lift 50 Pounds: Be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Stand/Walk 6-8 Hours: Stand and walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour
workday.
- Use Tools and Equipment: Use tools and equipment, including
knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy
machinery.
