Job Description:
Provides overall leadership to the seafood team. Responsible for
daily operations including profitability, expense control, buying,
merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects.
Accountable for hiring, development, corrective actions, and
separations of team members. Ensures positive company image by
providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers
and team members. Performs duties in accordance with team and store
Standard Operating Procedures. Supports WFM core values and goals,
promotes national, regional, and store programs, and ensures
adherence to health and safety regulations.Job Responsibilities
- Holds team members accountable for delivering outstanding
customer service.
- Makes hiring and separation decisions in partnership with store
leadership.
- Monitors and achieves sales, purchasing, and labor
targets.
- Projects annual sales and expenses, and prepares operating
budget.
- Manages ordering and inventory to achieve targeted contribution
to profit margin.
- Establishes and maintains collaborative working relationships
with departmental and store leadership.
- Establishes and maintains positive vendor relationships.
- Sustains exceptional knowledge of competitors and industry
trends.
- Sets and achieves high standards of retail execution.
- Fosters a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual
respect, and exceptional morale.
- Maintains awareness of customer flows and needs, and directs
team members to satisfy and delight customers.
- Selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels
team members to sustain a high-performance team.
- Communicates and maintains team member safety and security
standards.

- Food safety certification.

- Thorough product knowledge.

procedures.
- Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial
performance and managing inventory.

- Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and
operations-related applications.Experience
- 24+ months retail experience, including 12+ months of team
leadership experience.Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- In an 8-hour workday: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
- Must be able to work in a wet and cold environment.
- Must be able to use tools and equipment, including box cutters
and heavy machinery.
