Job Description:

Job Summary: Sous Chef to join the team at one of The Consulate restaurants, responsible for effective day-to-day duties and responsibilities as second in command.

  • Preparing meals and food to meet guest and Chef specifications in a timely manner
  • Measuring kitchen ingredients and food portions
  • Ensuring kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, department rules and sanitation requirements
  • Using kitchen knives and equipment in food preparation
  • Managing kitchen inventory and ensuring supplies are fresh and of high quality
  • Ensuring proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterward
  • Keeping the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitized
  • Taking charge of kitchen in a team setting

    • 2 years of experience in high volume or fine dining environment
    • Accurate knife skills
    • Ability to read and follow recipes and standards
    • Ability to produce a high volume of work in a timely manner
    • Actively practicing food safety procedures
    • Organizational skills
    • Effective time management
    • Ability to lift large items up to 50 pounds

      Compensation: Salary $68,000.00 - $72,000.00, Paid Time Off, 401k, Commuter Benefits, Potential Bonuses, Dining Discounts
