Job Description:
As Line Cook, you will play a key role in delivering an
exceptional culinary experience in a fast-paced kitchen
environment. You will prepare high-quality dishes that reflect the
vibrant flavors and cultural heritage of Afro-Caribbean
cuisine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients, sauces, and garnishes in accordance with
recipes and presentation standards.
- Execute cooking techniques for various dishes, including
grilling, frying, saut--ing, and baking, while maintaining high
standards of taste and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health
and safety regulations.
- Work as part of a team, communicating effectively with other
kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service during peak
hours.
- Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as
necessary to meet restaurant standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a
fine dining or Afro-Caribbean setting.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and
presentation styles unique to Afro-Caribbean cuisine.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain high
standards of quality and consistency.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability
to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to
50 lbs).
- Capacity to work in a hot, fast-paced environment.
