Job SummaryChez Margaux, a renowned restaurant group, is seeking a skilled Restaurant Accounting Coordinator to join their team. As a key member of the financial operations team, this role will be responsible for maintaining financial procedures, ensuring compliance, and preparing reports and statements.Key Responsibilities

  • Review daily cash and credit card sales, reconcile with POS system, and make cash/check deposits for multiple business outlets.
  • Assist in providing supporting documents for chargebacks, organize hard and digital files, and establish positive vendor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting controls and procedures, assist with End-of-Month reporting, and process invoices.
  • Act as the main point of contact for Accounts Payable tasks, receive, process, and verify invoices, and communicate with operators to ensure timely receipt of invoices.
  • Manage payments to vendors, set-up new vendor accounts, request W9 forms, and maintain accounting records by verifying and posting account transactions.
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and balance financial reporting tip revenue from POS system to employee hours worked.Requirements
    • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in accounting and finance.
    • General accounting knowledge, proficiency with Microsoft Office and Accounting Software, and experience with Compeat preferred.
    • Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team, and display integrity.
    • Ability to take initiative, be adaptable, and perform essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully.Physical Requirements
      • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs, move about on foot, and perform tasks in a constantly changing environment.
      • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.CompensationThe base pay range for this position is between $70,000 per annum, and the determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid depends on a number of factors, including prior employment history, job-related knowledge, qualifications, and skills.
