Job Description:
Join our culinary team as a Junior Sous Chef at Giuseppe & Sons,
a celebrated Italian-American restaurant in Philadelphia.
We're seeking a passionate and skilled Junior Sous Chef to help
lead our kitchen, ensuring the highest quality standards in food
preparation, presentation, and service.
Responsibilities:
--- Assist in daily kitchen operations, supporting the Sous Chef
and Head Chef.
--- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure
high quality and consistency.
--- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage
ingredients to minimize waste.
--- Train and mentor kitchen staff on culinary techniques, recipes,
and kitchen protocols.
--- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation
standards.
--- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop seasonal menu
items and special dishes.
--- Maintain a clean, organized workspace that reflects the
standards of Giuseppe & Sons.
Requirements:
--- 2+ years of culinary experience in an upscale or fine-dining
environment.
--- Familiarity with Italian cuisine and a passion for Italian
cooking techniques and ingredients.
--- Strong leadership skills, with a desire to teach and inspire
junior team members.
--- Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and commitment to
high-quality service.
--- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to
shifting priorities.
--- Culinary degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
