Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Retail Prep Cook to join our team at Cote Korean Steakhouse in New York. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking duties, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and Cooking: Measure ingredients, seasonings, and prepare cooking ingredients for service. Undertake basic cooking duties such as monitoring stock levels, reducing sauces, preparing pickles and kimchi.
  • Sanitation and Organization: Ensure all food and other items are stored properly and tagged, date-labeled, covered, and rotated effectively. Keep utensils and equipment clean and sanitary at all times.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work efficiently with kitchen team members and comply with company procedures and food safety standards. Assist other stations or areas of the restaurant when requested by management.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift heavy boxes (at least 50 lbs). Ability to walk, stand, and bend for extended periods of time over multiple floors. Occasional kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing is required.Requirements:
    • Education and Experience: Previous NYC hospitality experience preferred (2+ years). Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
