About the RoleThe Pastry Sous Chef is a key member of our pastry
team, responsible for executing and developing our pastry menu.
This role oversees a team of Pastry Cooks, ensuring high-quality
products are prepared in all areas of the pastry department.Key
Responsibilities
- Ensure high performance and excellence in the Pastry Department
during service periods.
- Maintain positive working relationships and clear communication
with Kitchen & Service teams.
- Ensure recipes, products, and food preparations meet restaurant
specifications and culinary excellence standards.
- Provide support to pastry staff and participate in line as
needed.
- Assist in food prep assignments and cooking during peak
periods, ensuring sufficient food products are stocked at line
stations.
- Maintain a clean and stocked workplace, prep area, kitchen
area, storage area, and walk-in.
- Deliver a culture of Enlightened Hospitality to guests and team
members.Requirements
- 2+ years' experience in a Pastry leadership position.
- Certification in Hospitality-related field, or equivalent
(preferred).
- Understanding of baking and pastry techniques, production, and
basic kitchen equipment usage.
- Eagerness to learn and grow.
- Positive demeanor, ability to give and take direction, and
passion for the food industry.
- Open availability.
- English fluency and additional languages preferred, but not
