Nursing Supervisor Job Summary
The Putnam Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to serve as a Nursing Supervisor in our skilled nursing facility. As a Nursing Supervisor, you will be responsible for organizing and overseeing unit activities, supervising staff assignments, and demonstrating clinical expertise consistent with established nursing standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate nursing unit activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Assign and direct staff to meet the needs of patients and the facility.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs, treatments, and responses.
• Administer medications and treatments as needed.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and other vendors/services.
• Identify and respond to patient needs in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Maintain accurate nursing reports, staffing sheets, and census rosters.
  Requirements:
  • Current and good standing RN license in the State of New York.
  • Previous experience with geriatric/short-term rehabilitation/Alzheimer's patients is desirable.
  • Progressive nursing experience in a geriatric setting, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Dedicated to providing extraordinary, quality, compassionate care to each resident.
  • Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes challenging residents.
  • Have patience and willingness to assist any residents and coworkers.
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organization skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure, flexible, and will work harmoniously with all staff.
