About the Job: The Assistant Wine Director is responsible for the receiving and organizing of all wine throughout the club's various spaces, working in collaboration with the Wine Director and other beverage and service team members to ensure a high standard of service. Key responsibilities include scheduling beverage staff, cellar inventory tracking, member wine tracking, and maintaining the wine list.

Key Responsibilities:
--- Scheduling beverage hourly staff (Sommelier and Bar teams)
--- Cellar Inventory tracking and BTG par ordering
--- Member wine tracking & member wine pulls for service, with assistance from reservations team
--- Tevalis POS Maintenance for beverage
--- Tevalis Purchase Order creation and Invoice processing
--- Wine list maintenance, publishing daily and printing weekly or as needed
--- Secondary point of contact for events
--- Overseeing seamless transition of wines from cellar to floor with the assistance of the Head Sommelier
--- Presence on the club floor in absence of Wine Director

Requirements:
--- Proven experience working in a club, fine dining restaurant, hotel, or similar environment.
--- Previous Sommelier or Head Sommelier experience required in an elevated wine program, preferably in New York City.
--- Current NYC Food Protection Certificate (or ability to attain certification upon hire).
--- Willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment.
--- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
--- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Working Environment:
--- Ability to be flexible with job demands and open-minded when being asked to complete tasks.
--- Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the restaurant.
--- Ability to operate with grace under pressure.
--- Ability to move or handle equipment throughout the restaurant generally weighing up to 50 pounds.
--- Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
--- Ability to stand for up to 8-10 hours a day.
